Are ghillie suits really that good?

Ghille suits i think are overrated. Most snipers use them because they are unskiled in the art of quickscoping and dont really know how to play. TBH the ghillie suits weigh you far to much and using and M82/M87 and a ghillie you gona be heavy as mess. In a non-respawn Harvester Small map game if you play as Spectre/Gyrc/The SWAT terror guys then you can have an M82/M87 with a Med. Scope/High Scope, 2 nades, M18/226, and still be under the normal weight of a sniper with a High Scope/M87-M82/and a ghille therefore making you better all-around in up-close combat/sniping and luring people out with nades if they are camping (in the mill/barn/house)

So post your opinions about being better all-around of just plain camping like a noob

Keep in mind this is a non-respawn/no explosives game where anything can happen ok

Guille suit really do work cause when i play this map and im last alive i always have a person run right over me and i get up and kill him and he is usually the last one alive on the aposing team. So they really do work.

Yeah youre pretty much wrong about the ghillies. I love using them, although not all the time, because they really do help let you blend in if your laying low. Now if you quickscope then theres really no point to it, but not everyone does that and its opinion. Snipers are suppose to lay low, but I will say that people who can quickscope can be dangerous. But again the ghillies have a purpose and I think they do exactly what theyre supposed to do.

Ghillie suits are good if you know how to use them. its camoflauge. it weighs alot because a sniper sits somewhere and picks people off. if you want to jump around, then dont choose it. there have been numerous times that people just walk over me when i am proned in a bush.

how does not being able to quick scope make you unskilled? just like if you use a certain gun you have no skill. if someone decides to camp and they piss you off enough to where you come out and they kill you to win the round, then apparently you arent skilled enough to realize that it was going to happen.

how about you try quick scoping with the SR, m40a1, or the SASR. you mention the m82/87 as the reason why you dont pick a ghille suit, so if you are "skilled" in quick scoping then use something thats not OSOK

Yes, but the only time they don't work is if you are in a night map...then you will get pwned if someone is using a thermal

The gillis are just another tool. If you know how to use them they are great, especially on certain map. If you quick snipe the gilli is not something you would want to use. It really depend on your style. It is definately not because you don't have skill. It is a skill just like quick sniping.

Ghille suits ruin this game. Its a campers best friend and it gives that person the chance to just hide in a bush. I hate getting killed by a freakin bush!! Thats why i'm glad that GB gave the option to ban the ghille. Its so much better playing when someone isnt hiding in a bush or going predator like invisible during a gun fight.

Well stop running where the snipers are...its a part of the game and i myself think having ghillies was awesome

I rarely get sniped, I think about 1 in 15 of my deaths is me getting sniped.Usually nades....*GAD DAMN NADES*
