Claymores work the best if you have another player using them along with you.

My favorite is setting up the claymores along the sides of the road by SEAL spawn point 2 (the one by the villiage) in Devil's Road. No one ever sees them and it's usually 2-4 kills when I set those things off. :)

Yes they are Sgt-Miller, best used with additional people. I just get my friends to set them in places were i can see and instead of tiggering them i shoot claymoe one at a time with my SR-25. Most of the time they don't know what hits them.
I sometime set them very far from me and used them as a little cleverly placed trap. People see see the claymore, they hold thier postion, i set them off from a high cliff, they come searching, pop pop enemy down.

That's a cool idea. Never thought to snipe them. But I do like using them. I love to use them in Harvester. I'm always getting people as they come down off the pond road, or up to the Seals ruins. And there are a few other maps, that I really like them.

I love using them on control points. Aggh I cant remember the name of the level for the life of me, haven't played in a while, but the one with all of the islands and water is a great one. I would just camp out at the SEAL base with clays, either in the grass or the watchtowers, and silently watch as a boat of 4 baddies came up to plant the bomb. BABOOM!
sadly my team was not good at getting control points, and in respawn I can only take out so many waves of terrorists with 2 claymores...
Blackwoods is another excellent map though, nobody can see you when you're proned in the bushes in a ghillie suit. I usually use clays as a last resort, for like 2+ people. other than that, a silencer takes care of them.

I like tossin' em down in Boneyard near some of those rushing tunnels that F90 soldiers like to bolt out of. Whoever spoke on sniping them, that's a greta idea, though I wasn't sure you could blow them up with bullets. (In S2 it was really hard)

try placing them on the third or fourth step of stair facing downward of CQB. stand behind them and see what happens. most the time your oppenent would try to shoot you but a few bullets would hit the claymore and he would kill himself. after two rounds or so your oppenents should wise up and aim higher for your head instead of the chest. at this time you sholud place 2 claymores on the third step and the fifth step. after this event your oppenent should not even try to shoot you went heading up the stair for the kill.
