Which guns are the good and the bad?

In SOCOM 1 many people would say that the ASK-74 was the best gun. Now in SOCOM 2 people say that it got worse, well they are completly wrong. When you use all the good guns like M14, RA-14, and the IW-80, and then use a gun like AKS-74 we will think it is worse.....WHY? Because its all about the rapid fire, AKS is too slow now compared to its new enemies.

actually... i disagree with u ive seen ppl using the m4a1 sd (im not disagreeing its weaker) and killing every 1 they see i think it is weaker.

The only gun I have a problem with is the F90. That is the most unaccurate gun in the whole game. The 552 is preety good. These guns have too long of names so I can't remember them but the sniper that puts a .50 cal bullet in you, that's a sweet gun. There is nothing wrong with the m4 by the way. I mean you shoot anybody in the head with it they're dead no matter what gun they have. Same for any gun. You can kill somebody with a 9mm pistol while they have a rocket launcher it doesn't matter. Shoot them in the head first and they're dead. The only time "gun power" comes in is if you can't hit them in the head.

Actually snipers arent guns. They are called rifles as some of us might know. Rifles have grooves in the barrel, and rifle in German means "groove".

I think everyone has their own preferance on which guns are good, Personally I would switch your seals lists completely around, and put the ones you said are bad on the good list, adding a couple, it's just what works for you, if the game had one "best" gun, then there would be no point in having other guns, thats' the entire point of the differant attributes of the guns.

ok my favorite gun for seals is the IW-80 A2, this gun is fast and accurate. good for all types of firefights.

my favorite terrorist gun is the new STG 77, this gun is also fast and accurate. the zoom is nice too.

both of these guns are very similar.


ok now, to the guy who started this. the AK 74 is still tight, and the M4A1 is also very tight (expecially with the gernade launcher on it). the M4A1 SD is so much better than the 552 SD. the 552 SD is so dang weak and the enemy can still see a red arrow and find you. the M4A1 SD is more silent and deadly. The M60 and M63 are tight, they keep on spraying and the M60 is way imporved in Socom 2 than it was in Socom 1.

I've always liked the 552. It is a powerfule gun. However my new favorite is the IW-80A2. It's combined range, accuracy, and fire rate are to too good to pass up. And over the M4A1 it has a 4X Scope.

In missions with lots of up close fighting I still prefer the 9mm Submachine gun or the HK5K. Both fire very fast and the 9mm has 60 rounds. The HK5K is a lot more accurate though.

My least favorite gun is the STG77. Admittedly I have not used it much, mainly just running over dead bodies for compatible ammo with my gun.

It's prefence for everyone you like a gun you use it you get better with it. On Frostfire I like using the M60 I can easily get 73pts. in just 8 min. 9mm pistol and sub are pretty good guns considering that the pistol has a good punch if you hit the target and the sub has the scatter the size of a quarter on the screen (to my tv) so most of my kills with that are head hits. M4s are good also you just can't go into gun fights with lots of high powered weapons against you. Especially when the odds are against you.
