I'm sure I'll get plenty of flames on this one. :)
There are two classes of people that play SOCOM 3:
Class #1: People that have fun with the game. These people don't complain about how it was "bullsh*t" that they got shot, and they also don't try to "talk" themselves up to other people in an effort to look cool and talented. They will actually congratulate the opposing team on a job well done.
Class #2: People that will find any excuse in the book to try and cover for themselves being killed during a round (these people can be referred to as "total noobs"). Common excuses you will find on this forum and during matches will be the following:
1. "Man, I put five rounds in that guy's head, and he killed me. That's bullsh*t!!"
2. "The only reason he got me was because of a lucky shot."
3. "I died because my team mate screwed up."
4. "Dude, the only reason I got killed was because they are using noob guns." (This one is very, very common).
5. "That guy only killed me because he must be glitching."
6. "Dude, the only reason I got shot was because of lag." (Sometimes this can be a valid excuse)
Also, you can usually determine who is a "total noob" by the numerous posts in these forums about which weapon, and what fighting style is "noobish" to them. They are also known for talking at great lengths, whether you want them to or not. While these types of people are great for comedic value, sometimes they do tend to get annoying.
For all the new guys out there, try your best to avoid being the #2 class of people on this game. This is just a game, have fun, make friends.
Also, do not be afraid to use whatever weapon you want. The weapons were put into this game for a reason. They were put in to be USED. If a person is so skilled, that they have to complain about a weapon being cheap, then they should be skilled enough to avoid being killed by that weapon.
Enough said, and have fun playing the game. Don't let other people ruin the experience for you.
