Before even thinking of quick scoping, know the basics

To run and gun w/ a sniper rifle you first need to know which sniper rifles are best. I suggest the m87elr and the m82a1a due to the fact that they kill usually with one hit (torso or head). Then practice using them during respawns (killing moving targets and searching for other snipers).

Now to begin runnin and gunnin.

First, change your look speed to 100, accleration to 100 and dead zone to 50. It may seem very, very fast, but you'll get used to it in a day or two.

Second, practice your effing *** off in respawn rooms. ALWAYS BE IN FIRST PERSON!! If your not in first person, your not gonna be fast enough...When quickscoping try to run, jump, in midair scope in, shoot, scope out, run, jump, in midair scope in, shoot...You'll probably go 5-20 the first few times but you'll slowly get better. I'd suggest harvester first, then crucible. When practicing never prone...you'll get used to the scope bobbing faster.

Third, once you can get a kill for each death, and are confident of your skills try to play in ranked rooms or unranked rooms if your still a bit iffy. But, go ahead and use assualt rifles in maps like fault and atendora, You probably still need more practice before trying to play those maps.

Fourth, copy other's styles of running and gunning and learn tips from other people. To do that find sniper small map respawns or make your own with your clan. A lot of good quick scopers play there.

After you get to the fourth step you should get about 5-4 ratio of killz deaths and it should climb to about 3-2. oh and if ppl say your using a headshot hack just laugh at them...

If a GOOD quickscoper and overall good in other weapons is looking for a clan, give a friend invite to superfart and i'll get you in my clan (after tryouts) mh*. We are looking for ppl who have gb and are willing to play 4v4 squads.

Run-and-Gun sniping, in my opinion can be a very valuable skill to learn. If anything, it trains you to acquisition your target faster, which will make you 100 times deadlier as a sniper. I've only been practicing this technique just recently, and my sniper skills have soared.

Do you mean shotgun sniping or quicksniping? Shotgun sniping is useless, though a nice shotgun always makes me feel warm. Quicksniping is surprisingly easy in s3, the main thing to remember is to keep your cool and only take a shot when you know you can hit them.

Meh, Im usually the first one outta the spawn with a rifle. I easily drop ten+ or more when I try. And my settings are still on default :D

quick sniping with a sniper rifle. In regards to the shotgun sniping i disagree, although i sincerely am very bad at shotgun sniping, you gotta see how well people can use shotguns in harvester. Its almost scary

i get better and better everyday at quick sniping, i just need to learn not to shoot when i dont have a shot, quicksniping has improved my skills with an assualt rifle a lot also, i dont know how, it just has

I guess it does take skill, but not much skill can be involved in shotgun sniping... Quicksniping is better, it does take more practice but once you master it your deadly. Socom1 I sniped and shotgunned, Socom2 I sniped and quicksniped, Socom3 I'm trying everything but shotgunning is just too crazy. The crosshairs are like insanely wide.

Props to anybody that runs and guns with a sniper rifle. Not too many people can do it, but i think i would suit my team better sniping from a distance. I dont do my team anygood if i run out and try shotgunning somebody with a sniper rifle rather then sniping them from afar.

Being a good "On The Move" sniper can make you one of the most deadliest troops in the game.

I imagine the only easy way to defeat a very good sniper is to constantly lob 40mm FRAG rounds their way (that is, if you know where they are at).

you don't want your look speed to high. The more you move to the left and right with your crosshair along with your movement of your character your crosshair widens real fast and it's very slow when it get's smaller. The larger the crosshair the more inaccurate you'll be, so just go up to the guy and shoot him while your about 1 foot or less distance from him.
