Urgent Message for all Socom II Users
Hello ladies and germs, most people will consider this to be good news, I personally think it’s a very positive step to more successful moderation of Socom II and future incarnations

On the 28th of November, we will be resetting ALL ranks on Socom II.

Yes, you will all be reborn!

We all know as Socomers the ranks as they stand are pretty much pointless, due to certain individuals and clans trying their best to spoil everyone’s fun, and using rank up glitches and the like, so from now on we are going to try to change all that…

I’m not saying it’s going to work 100%, but without a doubt it’s a step in the right direction.

In addition to the rank reset, how we moderate things will be a little different…

The first thing we are going to tackle is the glitched Clan Tags. In the first instance all tags with 4 or more characters will have their clan tags reset so they’re blanked out.

Now, the second part of it is the one that made me really giggle…

If you make a clan tag with more than 3 letters after the reset, not only will the clan leaders’ stats be reset, but it will also reset the entire clans’ stats!
Oh, and we’ll also blank the clan tag out too. Clan leaders who persist in making clan tags that are too long will be dealt with by the moderation team.

Have a clan leader you don’t entirely trust? Perhaps its time to change clans…

Now, onto Rank Ups (or Rank ^) whichever you prefer

We will be keeping a very close eye on the top 10 of the ranks (both clan and individual) and if we even think that people are being naughty and trying their hand at ranking up we’ll reset your rank as a minimum, with temporary suspensions and permanent bans as options for the real weasels out there.

So, quick summary:

28th Nov
Remove all Clan Tags that are 4 or more characters long.
Reset ALL players ranks

After 28th Nov
Check for all new “bad” Clan Tags and reset them and all players ranks in that clan. And no, we wont be taking a backup. If you’re clan leader gets your rank reset and you don’t like it, take it up with him.
Check the top 10’s for rank ups.

Yea this is on the main list of messages when you first load Socom II up online.

Thats kool, i might have to keep playing socom 2 if the reset the ranks. socom 3 is having alot of problems anyways.
