Will Xbox 360 take all our online players?

well i have been a hardcore ps2 online player for about 1 year and 7 months now and i love it way better then xbox live,for some strange reason. now currently there are 1.6 million ps2 online subscribers and i read 750,000 on xbl but with the release of the xbox 360 do you think that it will draw most of the ps2 online gamers away from ps2. now I'm not getting xbox 360 i am going to wait for the ps3 but i just want a decent sized community to play with and hopefully the 360 will not take our players lol give your feedback i would really like to see what people think

The XBox 360 is going to be very difficult to get ahold of for the first few months, I GUARENTEE this to you. Most XBox 360 people are coming from the regular XBox anyway so it can't draw away too many. Besides, not many games are being released along with the 360 so people, for the most part, would be stuck playing Halo 2 until more games come out. Even to do that, that person would need the platinum edition anyway so I wouldn't count on it.

no way too many people love socom there will always be a lot of people on socom no matter what system comes out. Plus I bet the PS3 isnt that far around the corner.

Mob, to play Halo 2 on the Xbox 360, you just need to go online in Xbox 360 and download an emulater that allows you to play that game. You don't need the platinum edition.

Meh... doesn't matter. I never liked Halo 2. And yes, this is coming from someone who has played quite a bit of Halo 2. It just got boring fast. Same things, same crap, and there was really no real goal. It is great to play when you just want some instant action but I can't play it as much as SOCOM 3. There is no way. I think it's great how you can play four people online at once and I think that can be a lot of fun to actually have three other peopel over having a good time but that's about it.

I think it will draw away some ps2 players, just for the sole fact that ps2 is way outdated and people are looking for something new. The online for xbox is way better but ps2 has more games people like.

i would give the xbox 360 a few months before it makes a big impact, first of all, because of the shortage that microsoft should burn in hell for, and the fact that there might not be some games out yet that appeal to certian gamers, until more games, more of a variety is released, that is when it will gain more players.

I dont know about you, but I would rather get a new system, then playing a extremely outdated system for another, 6-10 months until the ps3 or revolution comes out. I mean, just time to move on. lol. And the xbox360 is probably the best deal out of the 3 consoles, ps3, way to expensive, will have VERY expensive games because of the blue ray disc, and the nintendo revolution, will be cool and pretty cheap, worth a buy but doesnt provide the hardware that most people would expect in "next gen" consoles.

Most Ps2 players usually only like Playstation system. So i doubt many players will convert.

I do not believe that the 360 will take alot or the PS2 gamers. They are so used to the free service. I understand the the 360 does have a free service, but it does not compare to the pay-to-play one.

Sony has made their online gaming damn good. Plus, Socom 3 is not on the X-Box. So , Why would you play?

it doesnt scratch ur games. That is all crap that people laid out there to rip on xbox. I have heard that too and the only way they said that that will happen is if u have it upright and move ur system while it is on. I have had that happen to my ps2 games. I move my ps2 and they get scratch up and i have had a couple eaten. Nothing is wrong with the 360 it is perfectly fine. And it will stay the same. Ps2 has more games to choose from so there arent many people that are3 on just one game. HAlo has more people that are online they have the most people on the xbox.
