I mainly played Suikoden II. (I think) Whichever one where you take over some white castle and just recruit people and that is basically your HQ and you can choose your party from there. I liked it a lot.

I tried out Suikoden III a long time ago and the beginning of the game bored me pretty badly so I took it back. It was nothing like its predisesscor (sp?)

I thought the first two in the series were the best... since then, I have yet to play another one in the series.

Yea thats the case here also, the first 2 we're well masterpieces even with their simple system. But they we're by far the most mature stories in an RPG you could find in those days for any game!

I'm guessing you forgot about FF VII which came out before Suikoden II... ?

No i didn't, i just found suikodens to be in my opinion ( mind the shaddy graphics compared to 7) more mature. Im more of a medeival fan so suikoden was just right. FInal fantasy i finally got into about a couple years after it came out, i bought it but never played it much. lol, but i see your point on final fantasy

i own all the Suikoden's that are out so far but i would have to say that the first two was pimp compared to any game at the time.. FFVII did rule but Suikoden I & II is in my opinion nothing alike.. over 108 guys to recruit and you can even play with almost all of em.. killer games!

I personally am obsessed with Suikoden, the characters i felt you got into more then other RPG's. As for Final Fantasy my fav. was 9, lol, it reminded me of the original FF's
