Spawn Points (explanation)
Wanna know how the Spawn Points work, and how to figure out which one you should go to (even in a map that you've never played before)?

===

Every map in SOCOM 3 has a maximum of 3 spawn points. Each spawn point (1, 2, and 3) has it's own purpose in the game.
The idea of each one is very simple:

Spawn Point #1 — Either your team's base or where the convoy is at (for Convoy games).

Spawn Point #2 — Either near the objective or on the opposite side of the map (from Spawn Point #1).

Spawn Point #3 — Nearby the enemy base (enemy's spawn point 1).

Point #1 is a place for players to go who want to start in the back of the map to play defense or to hop on a vehicle (if there are any vehicles in the map, they will usually be at Point #1, but on some maps like Devil's Road they will be there at other points as well).

Point #2 is a place for players that want to rush the objective, such as the bomb in a Demolition game. In the map Storm Front, Spawn Point #2 for both teams are on opposite sides of the West island so that teams can fight immediately for the satchel/bomb (although not all games will be Demolition, the purpose of the spawn points will never change*).

Point #3 is a place for players that want to rush the enemy's base (the enemy Spawn Point #1). This point is the closest to the enemy base.

The spawn points appear based on the type of game you are playing. For example, a small map will have only 1 spawn point per team, convoy games will have 2 (for the terrorists, at least), and suppression games will have only 3 spawn points per team. This applies to all maps, but the entire map will be shown when you look at it in the game lobby.

These patterns are the same for every map.

* - Spawn point locations change from game mode to game mode, but the purposes stated in this post will work throughout gameplay.

Wow, thats good. Theres only one thing i noticed, ou said that the spawn points dont change, but they do. My friend has the stategy guide, which shows detailed pictures of maps and every selection, and the spawn points will move around, and change from SEAL to terrorist.

The spawn points are static things do not move. There are about three for every map; three for the SEALs and three for the Terrorists... right?

What I want to know is: when playing a spawn game, sometimes you change spawn points by itself, is it because it has a player limit per spawn and when somone extra changes to yours, you get booted to the other? 'cause it's a pain in the @s$, especially when you just died in a firefight and you want to get back in it and the next thing you know, you're in the other spawn a mile away.

I hope they change that....

If you're talking about a respawn match, chances are that the game doesn't want you to spawn in the middle of a firefight so they warp you away.

If you're talking about a normal game, I'm sure there should be some sort of player limit... but I doubt that there is because I've never heard/seen of it.

No wanderer, thats not true. I've spawned under the tracks of a tank and in the midst of major vehicle/individual battles. I do get warped periodically and i think it is either an overload of spawners at that point or simply a protocol the game follows to keep you from camping near your spawn and just respawning there (such as in control mode where your spawn is virtually on top a point)

Yes, the spawn automatically changes when the player limit is exceeded. And the spawn points change between seals and terrorists. I dont know if you can choose it, or it just depends on the game type, but i kow it does.

some confusion here it seems. Depending on what gametype the map is being played on, the spawn points will not be the same. So for example, playing harvester on demolition, terrorist won't have teh same 3 spawns as if they played harvester on extraction.
Wander meant to say that spawn1 will always be at your base, spawn2 next to action, and spawn3 is the closest to the enemy base (that the enemy spawn1 for those who dont follow).
Another way to put it is this, Maps (generally) have 6 spawn points, and depending on the gametype, these 6 will get distributed differently (and evenly) between the seals and terr.
