To some you might have a point but i too could bring up the fact lil kids shouldnt play so parents dont buy your kids a M rated game to ruin it for adults. Now see how we both have a point? Now im not saying either one is wrong or right but just showing you how "copying a memory card" isnt so bad compared to the other trash thats on socom.
Also im glad you brought this up. I would like to thank Zipper for encouraging the use of action replay, code breaker etc to beat the game to unlock the outfits. I mean come on...i am 30 i barely have enough time for socom 3 as is much less a 300 dollar handheld gaming system and 1 game for 3 suits. If anything i would spend 20 bucks for one of these code things to get them before i spent 350.I think that had to be the stupidest marketing ploy EVER by a company. This is the only fault i see against zipper not even counting the faults in socom 3. Im glad you hold pride in beating games on your OWN...i lost that when i hit my 20s. I seriously could give 2 shits about beating ANY game OFFLINE. I am stricktly and ONLINE type of gamer at this point and if you think these 2 weapons and med scope give people that much of an advantage then you are crazy (sorry but true).I think most people(kids) that complain about this are just mad because they dont have a jobby job to buy it themselves. Also take more pride in REAL life accomplishments not in video game ones. Who cares if you beat a game on your own or not? I know i dont and this is coming from a dude whos generation had the HARDEST games to beat and we beat quite a few my lil friend

Thank you for your incite..... lol I totally agree with everything you said (pretty much) at the time that I wrote that I was just steamed that my friend would think of that, but now that I have had to to think and read your reply, I feel your right.
EDIT- but another thing is, There are some people under the "M" line that do not ruin online fo the adults..... I mean 15,16 + I consider fine, as long as they dont have squeeky voices and absolutly dont undertand the concept of the game. But it is annoying to always hear "EVERYONE that doesnt fit into the 17 or 18+ catagory ruins the online play" when we really dont. Its just the LITTLE people who do. I play to play. I am a serious Socom gamer, andI don't WANT o annoy or bug anyone, and when I do and if they let me know about it, I stop. No, I dont a have a squeeky voice, you cant tell the diff between me and a 40 year old guy.... So I don't see why it is that bad to allow us to play and have fun with the rest (and best) of you.
No i understand not ALL kids are bad..trust me. Ive befriended quite a few on this site since ive been a member and treat them with as much respect as i do any adult because they arent lil jerk offs. I treat people according to thier attitudes and how they treat others. Im the nicest guy in the world unless someone pisses me off then.... lol. But once again to clear the air...Lu only hates the idiotic kids who ruin it for the 13-16 age group because like everyone knows...not all kids are raving lunatics.-Lu

Oooo, this is awkward.
Was just talking to Otter the other night about this
I am that guy (rather will be). I dont like single player, though Im sure its great, I dont want to play single player, Im not that good at single player. Ive made the executive decision as soon as I get the game, Im copying my friends data.
Oh well. I heard the suits are handy, I <3 the IW, and I had to live the hard life of unlocking 0% of the suits in socom2 ( )
So though it may be cheap, some people dont like single player but still want the extra edge on their opponents online.

I feel like playing the single player missions would do nothing but improve my online abilities...granted, the AI are not as difficult as human players online....but with the maps being so similar, it really helped me to learn the basics or each.
I would've hoped that Zipper would tie the "unlockables" to your specific player name on the mem card.....that way, if anyone copied it, they could only play as you. I applaud Zipper's efforts to reward those that take full advantage of their game.
As for Zany Marketing gimmicks....The way it appears from what I have read...all you have to do is beat Poland and South Asia (on ANY difficulty) on the PSP game and you unlock the IW and STG. The files "sync up" online so you can use the unlockables in SOCOM 3. So for those that are too lazy to play the SP and don't have a friends to copy from.....just spend about $350 and get yer PSP/Fireteam Bravo!

I'm renting the Fire Team Bravo game for my PSP from Gamefly... I only need to unlock (one or two) characters so I can have 100% of SOCOM 3's "unlockables".
I got the I-dub and STG the old fashioned way... through hard work playing through all three difficulties in the single player missions.

My dad plays SOCOM and I am almost done getting all the ghille suits and he sucks at single player becasue he hates fireteam so I am just going to let him copy it but if one of my friends want it....$$ $$
EDIT: If you are really his friend you will lend him your memeory card...I mean come on its a ****ing memory card.

Wow dude I honestly wouldn't give a sh!t. If there is a game where they would unlock things, my friends would give me the memory without caring either. Anyway I kinda had fun with single player and finishing it on admiral could make you a better player.

My clanmate is mailing me his memory card, I'm going to copy it and mail it back. I don't have time for single player.

Thats such bullsh!t. If you have time for online then you have more then enough time for single player. Thats not an excuse. Each single player mission took me 15 min. tops.
