Driving the vehicles

While the driving controls arent the best, i think they do fit socom. Also ive been ran over only 2 times thats not that bad, and those were mostly my fault. I think zipper did something good whith the veicles

Yes the vehicles were a huge hit for socom. that is one of the reasons socom 3 is so huge!!

I like the vehicle but yet I do not...I like the idea more appropriately...but vehicles are like rocket launchers and 203's while they have their practicle applications,they are quit often abused and mis-used.Tonight I played online for about 3 hours...I was only shot 4 times...all the times I died I was run over....and one of the occasions I was shot was a 50 cal on a truck.I do not mind the vehices,but plz bare in mind that this is a strategy game!Don't be a vehicle *****,plz...use some brains.

Yeah, they aren't really hard to dodge, and the way you can hit them through the windshield and on the driver side like grand theft is great.

Hmm....maybe people that complain about the handling in vehicles are complete IDIOTS! I have not had a single problem driving a vehicle. I rode with a guy driving a loaded Cargo Truck and he ran into EVERY wall he could....and he blamed it on the handling b/c it was full....next round I hopped in...Loaded up....and drove straight back not hitting a single wall going full speed..... The vehicles r00l in this game....and I mean...vehicles are easily dodgeable....just the sense of moving before they hit you...ya know.

I really enjoy the vehicles. I get frustrated every time that I try to shoot someone with the tank though, since it can't hurt people without a direct hit.

i have ran over at least 15 people it is so fun and i have got at least 20 kills as gunner

I suspect that this was a gameplay thing that zipper put in...

A) because the tank is quite good needing direct hits, otherwise it would be a "noob" weapon to many people (what about the M2HB on top?)

B) In reality tanks carry zt least two kinds of shells... AP (Armour piercing to destroy other vehicles) and HE (High Explosive which is used to annihilate infantry + Fixed structures)... in summary, the tank fires AP rounds, which are not very lethal against infantry, as two different shells would be either very complicated or too easy and make the tank completely unstoppable
