Disappointed with single player? Post here!
For background information I made Admiral on Socom 1 & 2 in single player mode. I’m truly disappointed with Socom 3. Zipper interactive keeps removing the things that work from the game.

Socom 1 the maps were great. The terrorist Ai’s were aggressive. You could command the fire time to ambush to cross hairs. You could direct the team to move to cross hair’s in stealth. More basic useful commands.

Socom 2 the stealth mode was good. Bravo would follow orders very well. However, Zipper removed some commands. No ambush.

Socom 3 No ambush command and a poor command interface. It waste time and slows down game play. The fire time reacts to threats too slow. The hype over the weapons was a let down. Too much importance placed on driving vehicles.

This is only with 4 hours game play.

I do agree with alot of what you are saying. The game lost some of its key features and strengths that made socom what it was. But on the other hand, this is a totally new game. Its going to be hard for people to adjust to the game play of this game. I think alot of people were looking for an updated verision of socom2 with better graphics, guns, lag problems, etc. But like I said its a totally new creature and we all just have to get used to it. Im sure in time everyone will adjust and the complaints will be at a minimum. Im trying my best to fully adjust to the new game. I think we should all stop whining about it and try to work with it because crying wont get you anywhere and we all know that we're going to play the damn gay anyway.

Keeping Zipper on there toes
We must complian and voice our concerns. We as fan must inform Zipper Interactive as to which way the games is going. Maybe if there is a Socom 4 they will ask for some input, and not try to recreate the game further missing it up.

The only complaints are

1. Less stupid proxy linits with the vehicles
2. add more commands like *drive me* and *mount turret*
3. i dont have a #3 yet but it could be socom 3!

The AI in single player is horrible. Nobody shoots! Not your team not your enemies. It doesn't bother me though. As long as I unlock the ghillie suits I'm happy.

Yeah man, the AI is ridiculous. And it seems like the AI enemies are super-human and can take a mag a bullets to the chest. Lucky enough they don't move so head shots are way to easy. I haven't had a problem getting a 100% on accuracy. I thought they were going to be more like Metal Gear AI...oh well still fun

Well..
I do agree it takes forever to kill an enemy.....but i like single player mode...i mean i look at it as kindof a bonus level to unlock things for multiplayer.. I have had the game for 2 days and i can only play in the afternoons and i am on level 8.....I wish your team could drive you thought....that would be nice....

Socom 3 has THE best maps, and the each level is much longer and more fun then 1 and 2. Socom 1's single player was so bad, I hated it but I still beat it on admiral. Socom 2 wasn't that great either but your teammates were very good stealth-wise and shooting-wise. My ONLY problem with socom 3's sp is the AI and commands taken away, other then that, everything else is good.

I remember when I was dissappointed with SOCOM II's single player mode. Now this peice of crap comes along. It's like they took SOCOM II, and smashed is with a cinderblock until it was in a million peices. Then they picked up a couple of the peices and left the rest laying there. The difficulty range is stupid. The entire game is easy, like Ray Charles could play through it with no problem, but then the last mission is extremely hard. What the hell? I guess the best thing about single player, is how many things you can unlock by beating it.
