Single player is AWSOME!

Yeah, I have to admit I'm excited that I will be playing the single player on this too. In socom 2 I never saw past the third mission because it offered no real tactical advantage in the online arena.

For background information I made Admiral on Socom 1 & 2 in single player mode. I’m truly disappointed with Socom 3. Zipper interactive keeps removing the things that work from the game.

Socom 1 the maps were great. The terrorist Ai’s were aggressive. You could command the fire time to ambush to cross hairs. You could direct the team to move to cross hair’s in stealth. More basic useful commands.

Socom 2 the stealth mode was good. Bravo would follow orders very well. However, Zipper removed some commands. No ambush.

Socom 3 No ambush command and a poor command interface. It waste time and slows down game play. The fire time reacts to threats too slow. The hype over the weapons was a let down. Too much importance placed on driving vehicles.

This is only with 4 hours game play.

I agree that the single-player name is WAYYYYYYY better than any of the other two SOCOM games. No doubt in my mind...

my friends have the game, and with the credit card thing, you only need the number to VERIFY the name. no money will be taken, and all the other stuff is free. they say if money is taken (only a dollar) then you will get it back in a few weeks.

otherwise its only to verify the name, and you can only have one name a credit card.

anyways, yeah i wont get my game till friday or sat (in the mail). i plan to beat the game before i play online. but maybe i just beat on level then go online .
