Damn, I hope you dont have to beat the game 2-4 times to get to Admiral, then beat THAT. That **** would ****ing suck. It gets stupid when you have to constantly repeat the game...

Well then you are not going to be happy. Just like in S2's single player the highest level you can start at is Commander. You must beat the game on Commander to unlock Captain, then again on Captain to unlock Admiral.

If you do the math you need to beat each level three times for all the unlocks and goodies.

You had to beat s2 3 times for feral. I did it too. And I'll do it again, my friend and I are gonna spend all week ad weekend completeing the single player.

One thing that concerns me is that the control schemes are different. It seems that there is no way to turn on nightvision other than the D-Pad now. Also, it looks like they have removed run and talk from being the default control scheme, unless the online controls are different from the offline ones. The vehicle control schemes are different too. Now, instead of being like halo with analog sticks, you have to hold R1 down to go forward, hit triangle to brake, hit L1 to reverse, and I'm guessing that the left analog stick is used to turn? since the right one is to move the camera.
Also, can anyone explain the difference to me in between a high scope, medium scope, low scope, and 4X scope? They are obviously different magnifications, but why would you choose the low scope over the high one, or vice versa?
The maps sound awesome though, can't wait to try them out.

Yes, you skip. If you beat Commander the game automatically registers you for beating Ensign and Lieutenant aswell. -c0mm

Now what does gthis mean and this goes for all the other ghillie suits. Do you have to beat the game on all three difficulties to get 1 suit or do you get 1 each time you beat it?? It makes no sense in my guide!!

That just means that you can beat it on any of the above difficulties and get it. Of course you have to beat commander then captain then admiral, but it is just said to assure players.
