SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs comes out October 11...reserve your copy today!
TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 20th, 2005
SOCOM 3 IS ALMOST HERE!
Just a quick reminder that SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs will be released in North America on Tuesday October 11, 2005. Make sure to get your copy immediately when the game is released by reserving yours today. Most major online gaming retailers as well as your local stores are currently accepting pre-orders for this title. It might be a good idea to throw down a little cash now and make sure you get your copy first before that annoying kid down the street gets it and constantly tells you all the cool parts of the game before you can experience it firsthand! (On a side note: Bill if you do that to me with one more game I will take all your collectible figures out of their packaging and recreate the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 with Boba Fett as the fuse...ok I am better now.) Plus you need to have the extra time to study all the enormous online maps and get a feel for driving...practice makes perfect after all.
Another reason to make sure to get your game early...SCEA will not be allowing players to reserve their online in game name through a website as they did with the release of SOCOM 2. All the player names will be reserved THROUGH THE ONLINE GAME ONLY and all player names will be awarded on a first come first served basis. Please be courteous to other players and don't blatantly steal another gamer's handle...it's just not cool. But the only sure fire bet to get the name you want is to buy the game early and get online to set up your account.
So again...SOCOM 3 on 10/11/2005...reserve your copy now!

On the road and missing the intense SOCOM action? Haven't quite figured out how to set up your PlayStation 2 for SOCOM gaming in the car? Well you don't need to worry about long nights without SOCOM ever again...SCEA is proud to announce the release of the all new SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo for the PSP™ (PlayStation(R)Portable) system. Defend America and her interests with a fireteam composed of a secret subset of the world's most elite fighting force and do it all from the palm of your hand anywhere at any time!
SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo is a complete SOCOM experience on the PSP system utilizing a 2 man fireteam from the SEALs secret counterterrorism arm. Battle through 14 missions in four Areas of Operation: Morocco, Poland, South Asia, and Chile. (The final AO listed, Chile, was developed especially for FTB while you will notice that the other AO's are the same as SOCOM 3...this comes into play below so keep reading!) Single player not really your thing? Then hit up one of the 12 expansive multiplayer maps all with full community features including voice chat and headset support. Two different game play modes provide more action: up to 10 players in AD Hoc Mode and up to 16 players in Infrastructure Mode. Over 35 authentic weapons and gadgets based on existing SEAL weaponry means that you go into battle fully armed and ready to take out terrorist threats! All these features will make for one heck of a SOCOM experience but the fun doesn't stop there...
But the coolest thing about SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo is its connectivity to SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs. SOCOM 3 missions occur in the same timeframe and include the same Areas of Operation as SOCOM: FTB. Both teams will be supporting each other in a similar overall mission arc. That's right...the two games are interconnected! Certain mission objectives completed in one game can affect objectives/mission parameters and unlock special items, player skins, etc. in the other. Once a "crosstalk" objective is completed in one game, the two games can be synchronized via a USB connection and the completed "crosstalk" objective will affect the other game. Looks like SCEA just doubled your SOCOM world in one swing of the bat!
SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo for the PSP™ (PlayStation(R)Portable) system hits stores on November 8th, 2005...make sure to reserve your copy today!
SEE ALL THE BOOTCAMP ACTION AT SOCOMHELLWEEK.COM
In the last couple eSEALs newsletters, I told you all about the next SOCOM Boot Camp that SCEA and the U.S. Navy will be hosting near San Diego, CA the weekend of September 24th. Well the contestants have been selected and the course is being prepared for some gut wrenching, intense, hardcore, and potentially hilarious eliminations to rival a training montage from any number of boxing or action films. While these 16 brave souls push themselves to the point of mental and physical exhaustion, you can just sit back in your comfy recliner, pull out the bag of kettle corn, and pop open a drink to watch all the action right on your computer!
SCEA will be filming every second of the training and will air episodes of the boot camp on
www.SOCOMHellWeek.com beginning in late October (actual air date TBA...but I will make sure to let you know as soon as I do). Follow your favorite contestant through the long days of a real U.S. Navy SEAL boot camp and root for them to avoid elimination in their fight to be the most extreme SOCOM gamer in the world! This is sure to put all those other so-called "reality" TV show to shame...so stay tuned for more details on when you can tune in to all the action!
NEW SITE FOR eSEALs COMING EARLY OCTOBER
With two new SOCOM titles upcoming in the next couple months, the crew over here at eSEALs Command felt it was about time for a new look...so we have been hard at work giving
www.SOCOMeSEALs.com a full facelift and I think everyone will be really happy with the results. We listened to user suggestions and we are fully dedicated to making this site much more user friendly, providing a larger amount of downloads throughout the year (and beyond), updating items on a more consistent basis, continuing to offer special missions for the opportunity to secure exclusive eSEALs and SOCOM merchandise, and hosting Clan tournaments for even larger prizes. We are even discussing a free Clan ladder and hope to have something in place by the end of the year. All in all, we have been pretty busy over the summer.
The new site will be ready to go right before the release of SOCOM 3 in early October. When we launch the site, you will need to sign in before the end of the month in order to secure your account and eSEALs member name. If you don't, your account will be deactivated and you will need to re-register with a valid email address in order to enter the site (note: usernames are provided on a first come first served so make sure to keep your account active or you might lose your name). Also, upon the launch of the website everyone's Clan status will be reset to neutral and all Clans in the database will be deleted. We are clearing out the Clan database in order to force people to re-enlist their updated Clans for SOCOM 3.
We have a lot in store for SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs and the new site is just the beginning! Look for other newsletters to hit your inbox soon with more news regarding eSEALs and SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs...and make sure to get your PS2 warmed up cuz it's almost time to play!
Cheers!
