Is it worth getting the headset?

I only have the game and not the headset. Is it worth getting the headset now, or just getting SOCOM3 + headset at christmas time?

I have the 1st game and only purchased it recently on the cheap, I then thought about getting socom2 but after reading that you could see who was still alive (a bit stupid i think, cos you will know the number of people still alive so its not realistic) and also how you have to shoot people a lot more to kill them, (read somewhere someone shot a bloke in the head 3 times and then the person killed him with a shotgun )

I hope SOCOM3 will be like the 1st and easier to kill people (much more realistic) Not sure whether or not vehicles will be good either

How much better is the game (online) with the headset? Im assuming you can talk to each other and say "he is behind that barrel etc"

So buy headset now or just wait for socom3, I play the game everyday and am a sharp shooter, I just love the sniper rifle as a terrorist on desert glory!

I have had a look on t'internet but am struggling to see where i can get one, looked on ebay as well but not many for good value. Could someone tell me where to get one. IM IN UK!!!!

Its not anyfun to play without a headset. Without a headset you miss to much valuable info. Like people calling out enemies or warning you of something.

Its worth buying the headset. It makes the game alot funner when you have a headset. Like when my headset breaks i stop playing socom2 for the time being, until i buy another one. But if you dont play socom2 much just wait till socom3 comes out, its just 1 month away.

You can play online without a headset but you will not be fun to play with and more times than not you'll get voted out for not being able to communicate. Sure you could just go in and out of various rooms and do your own thing, but if you want to make friends and truly get the socom experience, you must have a headset.

I recommend just getting one now if you're already playing socom2 online. They will not go down in price so there is really no reason to wait unless of course you're broke.

Abso-friggen-lutely! As Boba fat mentioned above, the only way you can truely experience Socom 2, or any socom game for that matter, is if you buy the headset. Besides, buying it now will save you the trouble of getting it later.

Playing socom without a mic is my take on being def.....im sorry but its NO FUN. Just pony up and buy the mic, you will have way more fun, make friends that actually make the game fun even when the "in game" expereience isnt fun (which is alot of times now:Plol) Without a mic you are basically playing solo and solo is no fun, i look at it like sex and masturbation (sure you can masturbate but its a helluva lot more fun to have sex with a woman *or a man if your a woman that plays socom...trying to be politically correct here*)

i play it EVERY day! for quite a while, but where can I get one from? Amazon seem to be out of stock, and I just cant find one to buy!
