Camoflauge 101
Well, I'm going to rip some idea's and make a 101 on camoflauge tactics!
There are many maps you can hide in dark spots on, and not be seen at a glance. Then, there are many spot's that you can sit in and not be seen by a someone proceeding with caution.
Tactic: Stealth.
First, you dont want to be seen running to your hiding place. Always run with your grenades set to Quick 1 or 2 and have your finger ready to your Quick 1 or 2 to switch to your primary weapon if necessary. This stop's the enemies gun from popping up and alerting him to your nearby-presence.
Tactic: Hiding
Now, you want to hide somewhere. I usually pick a bushy or boxy area. The bushes on foxhunt are somewhat good, but if you get into a square of them and prone, you may as well be invisible. If your in Desert Glory proned behind the box in the corner, your pretty well invisible as well. Make sure you have your grenades out!
Tactic: Movement
If you dont want your position to be given away while your camoflauged, never move too quickly. If you see a terrorist around you, you dont turn to follow his movements, or he'll see you. Get into the prone position in first or third person(wichever view suits better for your area) and follow him VERY SLOWLY with your analog. This keep's him from noticing or hearing your movements.
Tactic: Surpression
Ready to kill the terrorist that failed to notice you? You'd better have brought an SD pistol or rifle. Take your Surpressed weapon, and use it on single or burst setting. Now, fire away until you kill your target. If he turns towards you, prone and watch him until he turns away. Then, get back up and keep firing. As soon as he is eliminated, resume your original position with your grenades in hand.

My addition. Choose a player camoflauged with most of the level. SEALS is a great way to start off. Then learn good terrorists spots and characters that fit with them. Also, Camoflauge is good for mainly camping.

Make sure you don't shoot the ground when trying to kill a Terrorist, the bullets hitting the ground are quite noticable and loud, while they also cause a spark to appear which can give away your position.

To know your not aiming at the ground, look for a plus sign and it will tell you if you are and what you are looking at.

I'd like to add make sure you choose one of the 4 characters who blends in well. For instance, I like SAS-SABRE on X-roads because he fades easily into many shadows in that map. But on FH I make sure to choose a SEAL instead, since most of the map is dusty-orange, and the black SAS stands out like DaFlip among cool people.

*While moving from one place to another do so calmly, avoid "jekring" around.
*When moving avoid hill tops, ridges and watch your background. Avoid solid colours. Move just below a ridgeline. If you are skylining, nothing helps.
*When moving in a built up area, stay close to the walls, but not against it. Duck at windows. SEAL number one in the line, check forward. SEAL number two, check the roofs across the roads, have the other side do the same.
* walk, not run. Makes a lot less sound. And makes you less tired (in real life then,eh)
*Never go around a corner like you are walking. Move around the corner in a half-rounded movement standing a bit back form the corner.
*Upon entering a room, move left or right from the door.
* Sometimes the most obvious place not to hide is the best place. (foxhunt, lie down next to the road in the grass, near petrol station)
just my 0.02$

avoid sillouettes at all costs.
look for cracks(i.e. night stalker rocks)
"low and slow is the way to go" dont stand up and runwhen someone is near you.
dont touch the wall, give yourself lieka foot or 2 of breathing room.
if your not sure of the enemy, dont do the corner ook on a 90deg wall, if theyre doing the same, your dead. step back 3-4 feet, and keeping your reticle as far as you can without touching the wall, walkaround the corner quickly.
proning in random spots works very well, like the crater in dg or the back terry walk on ff.
dont ever not leave yourself a way out, dont hide somewhere where your blocked in on more than 2 sides
take into consideration what character you have. (vig for example, reaver/terr 1, hide against rocks, in shadows. terr 2/3, hide against tan buildings.
the best camoflauge is sometimes being 10 feet from it. if the perfect spot is known on a map, go 10 feet away and get the people looking for you in that spot, origianality is sometimes more important than being concealed.
getting ontop of tables or boxes reduces your profile greatly, lessening how quickly they notice you.
