Music While Playing
I've noticed that a lot of the topics are related to music. Myself, I'm in a band and, other than my career, music is my life (heck, if I could, I'd live off of my music). But, I can't listen to music while I play. In fact, I even have the music turned off in the Audio Options. Maybe it's just me, but, not only is music disctracting when I play (not to mention that it prevents me from hearing which directions enemies are coming from, what my players are doing, etc.), it seems odd to have music on while I'm playing. I'd hazard to guess that not many SEALs carrying out their operations while listening to their iPod. But, who knows? Anybody else feel the same way?

I'm the exact opposite. I NEED music going to play well. It gets me pumped. I sing to myself when I'm not on the mic and for some reason it helps me to focus on the game.

I have the Bose surround sound system and that allows me to hear every little footstep. I can't play with music on because I wouldn't be able to know that someone just shot at me but missed.

Same as me. It gets me in the zone. I'll listen to my radio or CD's.

"Surround sound" - now you're talking. I have four power amps driving my sound system, so the sound's pretty good, but it's only two channels. I'm thinking of getting a surround sound processor (I can only imagine what the sound must be like with things coming at you from every direction), but I'll probably never leave my house if I do. Heck, throw in a headset and I'm toast. What a game!

I hate it when stupid people get on the mic and blast their music over the line. You never even here the words to the song. All I here is alot of static and bass

I tend to only listen to music during unimportant, unsocial practice games, and respawn. Other than that i need to get into the game with no distraction.
