Battlefield 2 is pretty much Socom 3, but just on PC.

I just recently bought Battlefield 2, and from what i have done to it and to what i have seen in the Socom 3 videos it is pretty much the same game. The only difference that i see between the games is the single player campaings in Socom3, the guns which can be suited up, and the 3rd person view. But i guess thats what will make socom 3 special. Since Battlefield 2 also has its own great features like the 7 different kits.

Its kinda like Socom 3 but I dont' think so. First off in S3 you can't fly jets or choppers so that makes a big diff. Plus you can't add attachments to your gun in BF2.

Also, BF2 is strictly respawn. Socom 3 has the whole rounds part. They are similar yet so different.

Also the selectable units doesn't allow as much customization. In socom you can choose your gun and equipment separately. Battlefield goes more into the fact that you are given standard issue gear in the army, while I have heard that seals get to mod whatever they use. there are big differences, heck one is the 1st person vs. 3rd person views. That makes a HUGE difference. I can play both but they are very different.

From videos? Reallllllllly!?!?!?! How can you tell what Socom3 will be like through video? You have to play the game to know what is similar and what isn't. Many of the vids were made before some stuff was added, such as the whole, "You get shot, you go slower" and the whole weight factor. I have played Battlefield 2 and really, I don't think it is all that similar to any of Socoms, and by that, I mean 1 & 2 because you really can't tell through a vid what a game is gonna be like. . . .

I guess you can call them similar, but they're is going to be a battlefield 2 game for ps2, so i guess that would come in closer as the ps2 equivalent of PC's bf2.
They are alike, in that both games are fruit-caked by rank ups (stat padders).

Actually, there are a ton of recent Beta videos out on the internet that show many of the new additions, such as the weight factor. You could probably learn a great deal from a vid, or from pictures. I think it's stupid that people are breaking the contract with Zipper and posting these vids and pics, and leaking info though.

like right now people are looking forward so much to using tenaks, vehicles and boats, but its allready in battlefield 2 and its not really that special its just more options to add to the gameplay. So comparing Battlefield 2 to Socom 3 at the state which it is at right now, i'd say BF2 is better

Yeah b/c BF2 has choppers. But if you are compairing BF2 PC to S3 I will have to say S3 will be better. Only b/c it wont be as buggy as BF2 was when it first came out. B/c the writters can only worry about writtin it for one thing and thats a PS2 they don't have to worry about the different specs computers have.
