IMO, the more unstealthy the majority of players get, the more effective the stealthy players become.
exactly but the original purpose of the thread was stealth in single player.

Actually, in multiplayer, since you can now silence alot more guns on Terr side (or so i've read), i think there is going to be a lot of bush camping, especially since the maps are bigger. But then again, there's going to be airbursts and vehicules...so i dunno...

but back to singleplayer. I do enjoy stealth, but i think it would be cool if you could also change the daytime in single player, so you can further decide on what course of action to follow.

Stealth was a big part for me in the other games. Like the first guy said that one part in SOCOM 2 where the one guy is trying to get that civilian to join their group and you just cap him and no one knows, that's power man. I need more of that. I really like the thing I read about SOCOM 3 where it says you can swim and SUBMERGE under the water. That rocks man!! :D [/img]

There are multiplre paths so stealth would be one of them. but i like stealth single plqyer but it gets boring quick, in s2 i had nothing to turn to atleast in this you can start a big *** battle. but online i amos always use a silenced gun, i just dont know what one to use in socom III.

there is also a die hardcore sort of thing in socom3 as well as stealth. s2 was all stealth which was lame. i saw a video of a seal being bombarded by a chopper he sprinted forward and killed the ppl. then he took cover by a bridge and took out the dumb unaware bots in a building using thermal. they didnt know that seals were invading when there was goddamn choppers firing rockets... its ok cuz if all the bots charged at u ud be screwed.

Yea I agree man, SOCOM 2 was all about stealth. That was cool for me because the stealth action is what I love but even people like me like to run and gun in the big battles. I think there should be some variation. I also belive SOCOM 3 will be just that. Looking at the screen shots and watching the videos and stuff I think there will be A) good strategic non-stealth missions and B) good stealth ones. Someone before also said that they thought big battles would be a result of failure of stealth I agree with that also.

in s3 there are 2 stealth missions where if your seen, the missions over. but you can also take a stealthy route in all the missions aswell.
