i think its a shame that if u look at the top 10 player rankings on socom 2 they are all rank up thats a shame good legit players cant even get wings cause theres so many people with wings that shouldnt have them i mean come on the other day i seen a capt with a rank in the low 100s and he didnt even have 100 kills yet jus that alone should get u kicked or something it sucks cause if u want your wings its almost a must that u rank up its like 10 percent of capts are legit and i got mad props for yall

the people at zipper (i would think) dont really care about it anymore now that socom3 is about to come out. i just play for stats because there is no reason to play for rank with all the rank ups

Rank^'s have always been around, and they'll be around in socom3 also.

It's probably going to be even worse in S3 because theres going to be like 10 ranks or something like that..... So you know that the top rank or two will just be rankups.

Yes, but there will have to be a different way of ranking you not the S2 way because it is my understanding that you can make any map and game play mode, respawn, demo, supression, escort ect.

Try the top 2,000. I got really bored one day and scrolled down every single page of the player ranking below my screen name to look at everyone's stats. I also wanted to see if I was the highest ranked person with a screen name that is Blind, in any alternate letters, or anything of that sort. Well I found out I am, and that pretty much every single person under the rank of 2,000 is rank up. I could tell by their stats, and descriptions. I also took into acount what clan they were in. Most (if not all) of the top ranked clans in SOCOM II are either R^ clans or glitch clans. I could probably compile a list within 2 hours of all the R^ names in SOCOM II in the top 5,000 if I wanted to. It wouldn't take me long, my rank is nicely settled at 7,300. I'm legit thank you very much.

I'm barely a legit captain, I'm like 43,000 and my rating is like 2828 or somthing

Without all these stupid r^, I'd probably be nestled right in the captain rank

I always enjoy it when people talk about rank in the game. Insulting me cause I'm a cookie. First of all I barely play the game and second, there are so many rank ups, being a captain really doesn't mean anything. It's not just the top 2,000 that rank up, but many people rank up just to get wings.

Yeah, and some people do it for fame. I guess people think being number 1 at SOCOM makes you a celeberity or something. I've met and played with that AFGAHN guy a couple of times, and everytime I play with him, he's got all these kids on his nuts and stuff. It's funny, he's probably 14 and he thinks he's the man becuase he has 9 year olds kissing his ***. Sad really.
