sniper respawn question

i've been playing ALOT of snipers only respawn lately trying to get some sort of skill with this art for s3. mostly it's been vigilance and i've noticed that there are quite a few people that like to get on either side of the ditch and just dance around jumping and proning for the entire 20 minute game. what's the point or purpose of this? it's a sniper game, wouldn't it make more sense to actually try sniping?

don't get me wrong, it dosen't annoy me or anything, as a matter of fact it's helped me practice hitting a moving target which i still suck at but i just don't understand the point of going into a snipe game and then not sniping.

there could be two answers:

1> they have "masterd" traditional sniping and are trying to kill someone from a distence while jumping and stuff

2> they have nothing better to do so they want to be moving targets

regardless sniping is difficult and w/ S3's map sizes, Sniping is a skill that may become a must

I do that for multiple reasons. One is that it is much harder to prance around and then sit still for the second you have and get a clear shot on a guy. Also, it is good to distract enemy snipers and have your guys behind you taking them out.

Actually, as annoying as it may be, the people who can jump around near the ditch and get the most kills are probably the most skilled. In sniper respawns (boundaries) it's just who can hit the most stationary targets. If you can hit the guys at the bottom, it:

1) provides a challenge
2) Practices you not to have tunnel vision, because if EVERYBODY is focused on these 2 morons dancing around on the bottom, they will get picked off from enemy snipers.

The guys dancing on the bottom have to zoom in really fast, aim, and shoot, within 1-2.5 seconds to get the kill. That takes skill and practice, it can also be applied to great degree in real games, so I'm always the guy dancing around, I barely get shot too. I just zoom in in mid-jump on the guy and take the shot when I land.

That is why I stopped going in those rooms. You don't have to watch your bacck either, which is silly. You also only get to play Vigilance which is dumb because all that it has are windows and rooftops...

ok those reasons make sense. like i said, i'm not annoyed or anything i was just curious and now that i know i'll continue to use them as practice for hitting moving targets. i definitely have a new level of respect for honestly skilled snipers that's for sure. lol

I played a sniper's boundry game the other day, and almost everyone on the SEAL team was doing this. I think it's annoying becuase to me, it's like they aren't even trying. Well these SEALs weren't any way.

lol it was probably me you encountered doing this. you should prone dive and jump in random directions, its harder to be hit.

I play Vigilance respawn and dive and jump around. I do this to practice my quick sniping. Because it's really hard to hit me while I do it, I jump around in first person view until I see someone or see someone shot at me then I line my crosshairs up with them in first person then quickly scope them and shoot them.

Wat used to be a fun idea has turned into a huge load of crap..its imposible to find any good sniping respawns that are any fun to play....
