SOCOM on the PS3

I dont know about the rest of you bu even thought the E3 footage of SOCOM 3 has me all hyped to play it I kinda wish it was realeased with the PS3. Reasons being it would be nice to see the 3rd installment on a more graphical and powerful system, also I have this feeling that the online experience on the PS3 is going to be better as well.

I just thought about this and I was wondering if anyone else felt the same way. Me personally I could wait the extra few months for a better online experience along with HD graphics capability that the PS3 would bring. Not to mention with the PS3 having Blu-Ray compatibility it opens up more space for online maps offered on the disc and expandability on the online aspect as well.

I want to know what you or your ideas on what they could do other than what has been released for SOCOM 3?

Well BIgro that was a well thought out post. I feel the exact same way, Socom has the potential to be accepted as the best FPS for any system if it wasn't for the lag and the PS2 online services. It has a much better replay value than Halo and many other games and Socom 3 has these new features that will further making online gaming so much more fun. It has been a long time before a Socom relase has been made so it's definitely due for it. I'd rather play Socom 3 on PS2 rather than wait for it to come out in another year. I'd have lots of fun on Socom 3 then have even more fun with Socom 4 on PS3 because it's completely obvious there will be a Socom title on the PS3 considering that online features will be the next generation consoles' most worked on features and Socom is Sony's most popular online game.

Well, you will be able to play it on the PS3, the PS3 is backwards compatible or whatever it's called. Meaning, you can play PS1/PS2 games on it.

A few months??? You would be waiting about 8 months,

ps3 is going to royally suck, xbox 360 has it beat 100X, plus it will be $200, AND i can't wait another year for s3 and having to buy a new system just to play it would suck even more...

Dude,u got it all wrong man.Actually the ps3 has the most powerfull prossesor (yeah i know i spelled wrong) of all the 3 next gen consoles so it makes it the most powerfull console of all 3 of them and besides it has the nvidia chip so that makes it only better.And one last thing. The x-box sucks A$$not to mention another things it will have,the ps3 will be the best console EVER

Im not saying this just because this is a socom forum for playstation, but the playstation will own because X-BOX made a rush into things and the second one came out kinda quick. The playstation took its time and didnt rush and it had the most time to get everything to perfection.
