i wanted to put Battlefield 2 for the PC, but then i remembered that my computer is slow as ****.
So. i thought i would buy Battlefield 1945 (gotta start somewhere) and work my way up the battlefield series.
One problem though, how would i beable to find out my specs from my computer?

I think you can go Start -> Run: dxdiag

Altron told me to do that once, I can't remember what it's for but I think it's your system specs.

I'm gay!

Wow I tried that and it works great to find your system specs. I just have one question. When you go under "display" and it tells you your approxamate(sp?) total memory, does that mean how powerful your graphics card is?

Not exactly. That's how much memory you graphics card has, but power is determined by the GPU.

Wow it says i have a 96.0mb video card but I tried putting halo (32mb recommended) on here and the landscapes and guns were all screwed up. I wonder if it being a copied disk has anything to do with it....

Right-click on My Computer and select Properties to find your processing speed. But that's not necessary since you can find that and more by clicking Start/Run and entering dxdiag.

It might work, but I doubt it will work fluidly or as well as you'd like it to. Assuming you've never upgraded your computer, you might want to purchase a new comp before Battlefield 1942.

On a side note, our family computer was bought about 5 or 6 years ago, and it can't run anything. 500 mhz., 64 MB RAM, 9.5 GB HDD...I hate it, although it was good for back then. I need a new comp, don't I...

Im going to say, No. I bought my computer in Sept 01, and we upgraded(Graphics card, Ram) it a couple times, and BF1942 still runs just OK, we had to lower the graphics to like the lowest for it to run decent. so No, unless you upgraded the Graphics card and RAM i don't think it'll run, or run well, by not running well i mean like its going to lag ALOT, and your framerate is going to be horrible.
