Help required on "Against the Tide"

This level is so dum, aside from the 10 mins of just sitting there letting your team take out the terrorists, i always get to the rooftop with all the vips and magically they die! what the hell? 10 mins of sitting there and then they die! its not from the snipers either i kill them and go back to get the vips and the second i deploy the red smoke a man comes from the stairs and kills them in one shot every time, i have no time to react. this is such BS i dont feel like trying this mission over and over again taking 15 mins of my life and then failing, how do you get the vips to the roof and keep them alive cuz my way is obviously wrong...

Tell them to lye down in the corner, put Jester on "Overwatch" with a sniper rifle. Grab a M60 (I did it with M16) and camp at the door. As people come in take them out. Sometimes there are too many, so put Wardog next to ya with M60 or whatever gun you think he needs. Thats it.

heres what i did, right after the helo is done talking he says he will be there in 20 secs, a few more tangos come up the staires kill them then get the hostages and run up the staires deploy red smoke and the level will be complete. and just ignore the snipers

just order bravo to hold position near the stairs on the 3th floor! put your help on by selecting it in the menu when you press start. and when the window appears that says the terrorist have breached the 3d floor, you order bravo to fall back to the roof, and while they ar retreating they kill the snipers, but you don't need to kill those snipers, then stand with jester above the stairs, and simply kill all terrorists you see coming. then when "skytop" says he's there in 20 seconds you all fall back to the roof and then deploy red smoke. but make sure before you do this all the workers are safe and lying on the ground. and after you've deployed red smoke, you must order the workers to follow you or else there is a chance the hely doens't come pick you up, i had this several times but I found out that you must order them to follow you, it really helps.

It's been awhile, since I played that. But I did some of the stuff, the others talk about. I found the M-60 to work best. I pick that up inside the building. Go to the roof. As you're facing the door, place the VIPs to the right, behind a wall. At least I think it was a wall. But anyway, they are out of the line of fire. Get them to lay down. Place Bravo by them, to keep and Tangos from reaching the VIPs. Tell them to hold. Then take Jester, and go prone about half way from the door. Place Jester on Overwatch. He'll take care of the snipers, and just about anybody you miss. Give Jester something with a scope. Keep the M-60 pointed, about chest high, at the doorway. As the Tangos come thru, give them a round or two. That usually puts them down. But Bravo and Jester will act as cleanup. Keep the burst short. You'll have plenty of ammo that way. When the helo calls, wait a bit, and pick off the couple of tangos that come. Then get the VIPs to follow you, while Bravo and Jester cover. Head to the platform, and toss the red smoke. I toss a couple, because once I only did one, and the helo didn't come.

Yea i just put the vips on the roof up those stairs on the right, and have bravo go to the other side of the doorway. That usually works, as the terrorists cant see the vips when they run out, and theres 5 people firing at each one when they pop out.

I got on the roof went to the left up the stair case had bravo watch the doorway from ontop of the stair case. I had the vips lay down and i had jester behind bravo team. when the snipers game in i took them out and extracted.

This level is prett stupid i have had team members get stuck in the wall or i fall into the abyuss and die and my vips have randomly dies as well. This mission has the most lag then any other S2 mission.

Yeah a little late in posting but anyway i'll add my five cents worth,apart from entering thru the underground carpark (as it is closest to the 2nd charge that needs to be placed in a radio room)once that's done i collect the lowest level employee take them to the very top and as has been suggested put them in the corner of that pad so they are out of site of snipers and lay them down,i then order bravo team to cover target (the door way from that pad),i then go get the 2nd emplyee and do the same as the first,at this point i remake bravo cover doorway and hold position,(you will need to keep an eye on bravo as the sods tend to move into the door opening (if that happens order to run to crosshairs back on pad and cover again and hold if they try to move back to in front door,ok that done you and jester need to go diagonally opposite them (which by the way you do as soon as the last escortee is placed),there is a breach in the dome whereby jester can pik em off as you have directline of sight of the terror as they come up the lower floors and basicly you let jester do them in ,all the while making sure both teams stay put,basicly all you do is watch and you will also be in a position to deal to all snipers or bravo will depending on how quick you are then it's a matter of deploying smoke and covering doorway all the time making sure no-one gets directly in front of it,by rights you will have at least 5-6 ammo left by the time you need to deploy smoke,which is where i am kinda stuck ,is there an exact place for the smoke to be deployed,i managed it once ok but never took notice but i lost a man in that episode and am now trying to get all out safe

What I found best was set ur guys with the m 60s and then ur guy with the
sr-25sd go to the side of the glass where u can see them running up the stairs and snipe them if they make it up ur team will get them ( put the fire at will command on ) go up to wher the hostages are deploy smoke pull ur pistol out and guard ur vips

this level is a *****. Just shot down in the large whole in the ground at the terrorist comming up. Then when your on the room, make them lay down in the corner. Also, set your guys to camp by the door. Sometimes they engage when you dont tell them to, then they end up getting knocked out. Then you lose the mission. That is what pisses me off, your guys dont listen to you.
