Just to let you guys know that it's coming. Be on the look out for the largest socom3.com Tournament to ever be played. This is for bragging rights my friends. To be the elitist socom gamer on this site. All are welcome to come and frag the brackets away. In this thread in the future I'll be posting information about the tournament come up.

- Referee assigned to match. Referees may have to ref more then one match a night.
- Referee meets up with the leaders of both clans.
- Leaders chose maps while in the meeting with the referee.
- Referee sets a match time and server to host the game. (8:00 or 9:00 EST, depending on location of clan.
Friday 7-01-05 - Practice Day
- This a free day to practice your maps assigned for the match.
Saturday 7-02-05 - First Round
- Referee makes the room in the server that was agreed upon at least 5 minutes before the match is to begin. If any changes with the room please contact both clans via this thread notifying of server change or delays.

All room passwords will be PM'ed to the leaders of the teams to pass along to the other members of the team. They will be PM'ed the same day that the maps are set and posted on the site.

The Tournament:
The Style for the Official socom3.com Tournament will be Single Elimination played via the PS2 video game SOCOM II on the North American Server.
- Single Elmination means a set of designated brackets with the winning team moving on. The Losing Team is immediatly removed from the brackets.
- Teams will play in Best 2 out of 3 matches. A coin flip will determine which team has to pick there map first.
- The first and second maps will be chosen by the teams and the last map will be Crossroads.
- Tournament seeding will be drawn out of a hat to make sure it is a random seeding.
Prizes:
This is the prize list as it stands at this time.
- Finshed brackets will be presented to the winning clan to post on there clan web site.
- Each person of that winning clan will receive a official Socom3.com Socom 2 tournament Champion mini sig or avatar. That includes the date of the contest, name of the person and clan name.
- The pride of being the best socom 2 clan in the Socom3.com community.

- MVP Award - The person that recieves the most MVP's in the entire tournament. Which this person doesn't have to be on the winning team.
- Sharpshooter Award - The person that has the most kills in the entire tournament. Which this person doesn't have to be on the winning team.

Any clan can entry any tourney they want too, but they can’t have the same people play in the same tourney. So clans have to have 12 different people to play in each tournament. Clans with different entrys in the same bracket will be color coded for easy viewing (ex:
[S3] Socom3.com,

Rules:
Weapon Restrictions: IW80-A2, M4A1-M203, M16A2-M203, M79, MGL, AT4-Heats, RPG7s, Stationary MGL Launching Turret
Gameplay Rules of Conduct:- Game will restart if half or all the players on a team and one player on opposing team are booted.
- Lag is not a basis for a rematch.
- Use of restricted weapons will automatically disqualify you from the war, not the map.
- Both teams must discuss and agree with a referee upon a set time for the war to occur and adhere to that time and date. If a team is 20 mins late, the late team forfits the match.
- All players for each team must be present in war room for the war to start.
- If a player has to leave after a map, the war will continue on unless both teams and referee agrees to postpone the match.
- The use of glitches or cheating systems will automatically disqualify you from the war, not the map.
No Glitching is allowed
If you suspect it 'might' be a glitch, then it is a glitch. Any player breaking this rule will have his/her Team removed immediately from the tournament.
- The use of a PS1 Controller will be considered a Glitch.
- Getting into spots that are not on the playing field (EX:Walls, Under Floors, Boxes and anything else that you have to glitch to get in side of.)

- Create a pocket of lag
- Initiate a Mass Boot

Maps will be pre-picked before each match and posted on this forum to keep from any unnecessary loss of time. The maps need to picked one day before the war is to start. To give ample practice time for each clan and make it fair for the ones that don’t play those maps that much. The Map selection will be done off of a coin toss. The winner can choice wether to go first or second. After the maps are picked and ref sees that there is an unfair advantage or abuse of this system
he will force a repick. If a clan feels like the other clan picked an unfair map please take it up with the ref so that both clans can battle in a fair unsided battle fields. Knowing that some maps are unfair, the ref will try to balance the fairness by giving them the same type of a map if not done by the clans. Breach-Breach, Extraction-Extraction.
