Ooooohh Ahhhhhhh Looks pretty sweet man, and from the demo scenes I have seen from Killzone2 on it, the Graphics are gonna blow everything outta the water. Only beefs I have with it, the controller looks a likke wimpy, and a pain to hold. Oh well, looks sweet. Good stuff man.

**EDIT** Ok disreguard my comment above, this is what I meant to say now that I have watched the Movie that was almost 2 hours long.

DAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYUUUUUUUUM

7 times more powerful that the best PC to date, over 100billion Shaders per second. Up to 7 controllers can be used WIRELESSLY! 2Kx1K Graphics, for those that dont know what the is, it is 2million by 1million bites. The PS2 only had 720x486. All I can say is Wow.

Awesome find dude, I just got goosebumbs from all the stuff this thing offers.

Sony also laid out the technical specs of the device. The PlayStation 3 will feature the much-vaunted Cell processor, which will run at 3.2GHz, giving the whole system 2 teraflops of overall performance. It will sport 256MB XDR main RAM at 3.2GHz, and it will have 256MB of GDDR VRAM at 700MHz.

Sony also unveiled the PS3's graphics chip, the RSX "Reality Synthesizer," which is based on Nvidia technology. The GPU will be capable of 128bit pixel precision and 1080p resolution--some of the highest HD resolution around. The RSX also has 512MB of graphics render memory and is capable of 100 billion shader operations and 51 billion dot products per second. It also has more than 300 million transistors, larger than any processor commercially available today. It will be manufactured using the 90nm process, with eight layers of metal. The RSX is more powerful than two GeForce 6800 Ultra video cards, which would cost roughly $1,000 total if purchased today.
THAT SOUNDS FREAKIN AWESOME! Now what the **** does it mean?

Alright Here is a quick summary of what you read. The RSX chip in the Playstation # contains enough graphic software on it, that is compares to two of the GeForce 6800 Ultra video card. Each those cost $500.00 So right there, you are saving 500 on just graphics alone for the PS3. Not to mention all the other crap in it.

The controllers are already wireless.
That is why there is nowhere to plug them in.

Backwards compatibility, perhaps?

Which raises my next point... Will the PS3 be backwards compatible with the previous two consoles? The reason I ask is because (to my knowledge) much of games is written in assembly, or with the assistance of assembly for critical moments, which is architecture specific. Since they're switching from their previous architecture (x86? not sure) to PPC, they'll have to emulate their original environment. When done correctly, this shouldn't be any problem at all - but will they do it?

If anyone knows any more about how old games will run on the new architecture, feel free to enlighten me. Also, if anything I've written is incorrect, I apologize... I'm not the brightest person to walk the planet; I'm merely second.
