Since I only use 2 PS2's I just plug in the CAT5 cord straight to the other PS2. You may want to try a either the Switch or Router. As far as lag is concerned I have never experienced it when I was playing 4 on 4 using a router.

thanks for the efort do they all need to be connected to the same router or can they be in the same city

ok, I am trying to play LAN with a friend over a crossover cable. We can connect but when someone tries to join a game, it just "Aborting Mission" and it never joins. For the host, the other person's name pops up then goes away after a second. We both have the latest update and the same game save in fact, and the network settings match the ones in the first post of this thread. It used to work, with this situation happening only sometimes, now it doesn't work at all.

wtf do u need to enter for the primary dns and secondary dns? it wouldnt let me connect without it on the second ps2

yea i throw lan partys sometimes. we get 16 people in one house and just battle on our favorite maps. its always fun
