Its not widly banned. Its less banned in than in America (i hear)... There are probably 50 rooms with it unbanned to 1 room with it banned.

They started banning the M60, then the IW-80 and now the M14. At this rate the only way to die is to commit suicide.

i dont think theres any real need to ban the gun, what does get on my nerves is seals who use the M14, there are better guns out there...

o yeah and also M14 is only the best gun on a few levels, crossroads mainly, but on levels with large open areas, e.t.c fish hook, i often use AKS 74, down the right hand side, lob a couple of grenades over, then camp until they C4 the gate, run out and kill them all, or stay way back and snipe them...

yeah specially as terrorists, i just cant use the m14 anyway, the pull back, like i just cant cope... AK 105/RA14 M16/AKS74 the only guns i use, notice all slow firing, with little to no recoil

jezz, just askin y i should present an argument against banning the m14, as i said b4, its in the game and every weapon within the game should be used as and when seen fit by the individual player, as sevrin has stated, the way its goin suicide will be the only way acceptable death!
i can imagine when s3 comes out, and with hundreds of different weapon configurations available, the bleeters and cryers out there arent gonna know which way to turn, oh no, u cant use a laser aimer, oh no u cant use blahblahblah... the list will go on and on..
anyway, the m14, i aint standing up 4it coz i very rarely use it myself, i just grab any old instrument of death and do the best i can with it, as i said b4, the weapons are there within the game itself, and i`ll use em as my mood takes me, cant see the problem myself, i dont build myself up saying im the best at sniping, rushing, or whatever tactic, i just do the best i can with the tools as supplied by zipper.

Well its a debate, and to debate you need a good argument. Not barely legible waffle.

Ok you want my argument:

1) It is very over powered, it takes alot less bullets to kill someone than any other gun.
2) It can be easily "sprayed" meaning that the skill level taken to use the gun is very low.
3) It is relied upon by many socom players as terrorists and sometimes as seals. Many people use nothing but it.
4) It is a very untactical gun, you can charge straight into a mass of people and take them down with it. Other guns you may have to think about how to take them out, but with the m14 you just charge.

If you present an argument like that, I will take what your saying in to account. At the moment I am finding it very hard to find any usefull points in your post.

i see your point jezz, i aint got no beef with anyones opinions, i often get killed by someone with a m14, i know its annoying when u get taken out with one or two bullets, on the subject of it being an untactical gun, yeah, i agree, fully, whole-heartedly, but its by no means the only `untactical` gun.
i have no argument to present, i just reckon u should be able to use the entire arsenal at your disposal, thats it, plain and simple.

if your in2 tactical games then im gonna find a game your in and play, one thing i am good at is tactics, im sick to death of logging on and in every room most players just run n gun, oh what joy, wheres the tactics in that?

they should not ban any gun in the game. Each gun is there to use and if people dont like it, well, then to bad.

The m203 becomes extremely usefull and i dont find it cheap. That is if like, 1 person on the team uses it.

If it was 8v8, and i use the m203, Then all 8 of the other team gets them out. Which is retarded

The guns are they to be used. I like the m14 just not a run and gun tactic. If I use the m14 it it more like a last chance thing. DE.50 is the main weapon
